[Original form] Deciduous tree, 12-25m high. The bark is gray-brown and cracked longitudinally. Odd-pinnate compound leaves, alternate, 40-50cm long, with 9-17 leaflets, ovate or ovate-oblong, stiff papery, 8-15cm long, 3-7.5cm wide, gradually pointed at the apex, obliquely rounded or nearly cordate at the base, with fine serrations on the margins, and stellate and glandular hairs on both sides. The seeds are small and often separated by a bony pericarp that extends inward. The flowering period is April-May, and the fruiting period is August-October.
