When we move, our bodies and clothes will produce friction with the ground, air, etc., causing electrons to transfer between them, making the body charged.

Most of our shoes have insulating rubber soles. The accumulated charge in the body cannot be conducted to the ground through the shoes, so the charge in the body gradually accumulates and generates static electricity.

Static electricity is more common in the winter than in the summer, which is related to the conductivity of air at different humidity levels.

When the air is relatively humid, a large number of tiny droplets float in the air, which can transfer part of the body's electric charge. Keep your skin moisturized

If you frequently experience static electricity, it is probably because your skin is dehydrated. Applying hand cream, body cream, moisturizing cream, etc. to increase the moisture of the skin can better prevent the generation of static electricity, thus preventing static electricity from causing pain to the skin.

Maintain humidity indoors

In autumn and winter, the humidity of air and environment decreases, which makes it difficult to release static electricity, which causes excessive static electricity in the body. The best way to prevent static electricity indoors is to increase the humidity of the air, generally requiring a relative humidity of 45% to 65%.

To maintain air humidity in the dry season, you can place a basin of water indoors and let the water evaporate naturally, or use a humidifier to adjust the indoor humidity.
