[Original form] Small herb, up to 15cm tall. The stem is fleshy, branched and hairless. Leaves are opposite; petioles are 5-15mm long and slender; leaf blades are rhombic-ovate or nearly flat, 4-15mm long, 5-16mm wide, with rounded or obtuse apex, cuneate or nearly rounded base, with shallow teeth above the middle of the margin, densely covered with short rod-shaped stalactites on the upper side, and dark purple glandular dots on the lower side; there are 3 basal veins, and the reticulate veins are not obvious. Flowers are monoecious; dichotomous cymes or corymbose, nearly without peduncle; male flowers are few, with 4 tepals and 4 stamens; female flowers have 3 tepals, with the middle one being longer. Achenes are oval, flat, brown, and have thorn-like protrusions on the surface. The flowering period is March-April, and the fruiting period is April-May.
