Flowers are bisexual, 1-9 in clusters with leaves, pedicels 2-4cm long, densely covered with yellow-brown hairs; sepals 4, initially nearly erect, then spreading, elliptic-obovate, 2-2.5cm long, 0.7-1.5cm wide, white, densely covered with yellow-brown hairs on the outside, glabrous on the inside; petals absent; stamens numerous, slightly shorter than sepals, glabrous, anthers about 5mm long; carpels numerous. Achenes are oblong, 5-8mm long, glabrous or slightly hairy, with persistent style feathery, 1-1.5cm long. The flowering period is from December to March, and the fruiting period is from June to September.
