[Source] It is a plant of the Euphorbiaceae family, Croton lachnocarpus Benth., and its roots and leaves are used as medicine. It can be harvested throughout the year, washed and dried for later use or used fresh.

[Original form] Evergreen shrub, 1 to 2 meters high. Few branches, covered with grayish yellow stellate hairs. Simple leaves are alternate and have long petioles; the leaf blades are rectangular or ovate-rectangular, 5-10 cm long and 1.5-2.5 cm wide, with short pointed, acute or slightly obtuse tips, rounded bases, glands on the small serrations on the edges, and one cup-shaped gland on each side of the leaf base, which are long and obvious, covered with stellate hairs on both sides, and glabrous on the upper side when old. Yellow-white or light green flowers bloom in summer, with racemes borne at the top of branches and covered with star-shaped hairs; flowers are unisexual and monoecious; male flower petals are rectangular, with 10 to 12 stamens; male flower petals are small, subulate, ovary covered with curved soft hairs, style 3, 2-lobed. The fruit is oblate, densely covered with stellate pubescence, and splits into three lobes when mature.

[Habitat distribution] Growing on hillsides, roadsides or in bushes. Distributed in various provinces and regions in southern my country.
