Adobe Analytics: Black Friday online shopping in the United States is expected to reach nearly $10 billion in 2023, setting a new record

Adobe Analytics, which tracks e-commerce and mobile shopping, said online shopping in the U.S. on Black Friday is expected to reach nearly $10 billion, a record high, while online shopping on Cyber ​​Monday is expected to reach $12 billion, up 6.1% year-on-year. The company's data showed that as of 6:30 p.m. ET Friday, U.S. consumers had spent $7.3 billion online, up 7.4% from the same period last year.

Adobe estimates that consumers will spend $9.5 billion to $9.8 billion by the end of the day, which would be a new record for Black Friday online sales, surpassing last year's $9.12 billion.

Adobe said the 10 best-selling products of the day included Bluetooth headphones, Mini Brands toys, cordless and robot vacuum cleaners, kitchenware, skin care products and coffee machines.

Adobe Analytics said that Cyber ​​Monday is expected to remain the biggest online shopping day of the quarter and the entire year, with transaction volume reaching $12 billion, a year-on-year increase of 6.1%.

Earlier on Friday, Adobe Analytics said U.S. consumers spent a record $5.6 billion on online shopping on Thanksgiving Day, up 5.5% from last year's Thanksgiving. The company said that was nearly double the amount spent in 2017, highlighting the shift of consumers toward online shopping.
