[Original form] 1. Chinese squid, the body is conical and slender, the body length is about 400mm, and the length of the body is about 6 times the width. It is flesh-red with dense brown or lavender spots on the back. The fleshy fins are longer and located in the back half of the carcass, accounting for about 2/3 of the length of the carcass. The ends of the left and right fins are connected, forming a diamond shape on both sides of the carcass. The lengths of the arms on the head vary, generally in the order of 3>4>2>1 (the tentacles are not counted). There are two rows of suckers, and the sizes of the suckers on each arm vary slightly, with those on the second and third pairs of arms being larger. The outer edge of the cuticle ring of the suckers has pointed conical teeth, with the top sucker having the least teeth, the middle sucker having slightly more teeth, and the base having the most teeth. The fourth arm on the left side of the male is stalked, the top of which accounts for about 1/3 of the entire arm length and is specialized into two rows of fleshy spines. The length of the tentacle is mostly smaller than the length of the body. The tentacle spike is nearly diamond-shaped, and its length is about 1/4 of the total length of the tentacle. There are 4 rows of suckers. The large and small inner shells are horny, thin and transparent, nearly brown-yellow, with a longitudinal rib in the center, which is relatively thick, and there are ribs on both sides. Extremely fine radial patterns radiate from the central longitudinal rib to both sides, like feathers.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: 1. Lives by swimming and swims very fast. It is carnivorous and often rushes into schools of fish to hunt. It has a strong tendency to spin and rotate, and hunts more fiercely at night. It is oviparous and lays eggs near offshore islands during spring and summer every year.
