[Original form] Perennial herb, 10-30cm high. The whole plant has soft hairs. The root is slender and cylindrical, brown in color, about 20 cm long, with brown-yellow leaf sheath fibers remaining at the root neck. The stem is erect. The petiole of the basal leaves is 2-9cm long and broadly sheath-like at the base; the leaf blade is lanceolate in outline, 5-16cm long and up to 2.5cm wide. The leaves are pinnately divided three to four times, with the last lobes linear or lanceolate, 0.5-1cm long, and pointed at the tip; the shape of the stem leaves is similar to that of the basal leaves, but the petioles gradually shorten to become broad wing-like. The compound umbels are terminal and lateral, with peduncles 20-25cm long; the involucral bracts are 4-5, lanceolate, 5-7mm long; the rays are 6-8, unequal in length; the involucral segments are few, linear, and hairy; the flowers are white, and the calyx teeth are small. The fruit is oval, with a very flat back, 5-6mm long, about 4mm wide, and soft hairs. The dorsal ridges are relatively thin, with one oil tube in each groove and one oil tube on the commissure. The length of the oil tube is 1/2 of the length of the fruit or more. Flowering and fruiting period is July to September.
