The area around the eyes is green; the head is round; there is a black line at the base of the forehead, extending left and right to the eyes; there is a pair of wide black bands from the base of the lower beak, extending obliquely to the sides of the neck; the rest of the head is bluish-gray; the back of the neck and the sides of the neck are bright grass green; the feathers from the back and shoulders to the upper tail are grass green, but without any sheen, and the upper back is stained with yellow; the inner coverts of both wings are golden yellow with green, and the surface of the rest of the body is mostly green, the outer edges of the outer flight feathers are slightly yellow, and the outermost flight feathers are almost pure black-brown; the tail feathers are dark blue, with green on the edges of the base and slightly lighter at the tips.
