[Original form] Annual or biennial herb, 30-100cm tall. The whole plant is hairless and has a strong aroma. The root is slender with many slender lateral roots. The stem is erect, much branched and has striated lines. Basal leaves are one to two pinnately arranged, with petioles 2-8 cm long; pinnae are broadly ovate or fan-shaped, half-cleft, 1-2 cm long, 1-1.5 cm wide, with blunt serrations, notches or deep fissures on the margins; upper stem leaves are three to many times pinnately divided, with the final segments narrowly linear, 5-15 mm long, 0.5-1.5 mm wide, obtuse at the apex, and entire. Umbel is terminal or opposite to leaves, with peduncle 2-8cm long; no involucre; 3-8 rays; 2-5 bracteoles, linear, entire; umbel has 3-10 flowers, white or lavender, calyx teeth are usually of varying sizes, ovate-triangular or oblong; petals are obovate, 1-1.2mm long, about 1mm wide, with a concave lingula at the apex; radiating petals are usually entire, with 3-5 veins; the theca recurves outward when the fruit is ripe. The fruit is nearly spherical, about 1.5 mm in diameter. The main ridge and adjacent secondary ridges on the back are obvious, the ventral surface of the endosperm is concave, the oil tube is not obvious, or there is one located below the secondary ridge. The flowering and fruiting period is from April to November.
