[Source] Medicinal material source: The fruit of the ginger plant of the ginger family.

[Original form] Dancing ginger, perennial herb, up to 1 meter tall. The stem base is slightly swollen and the lower part is covered with scaly sheaths. Leaves are alternate, sessile or with short petioles; ligule and sheath mouth ciliate; leaf blade oblong or ovate-lanceolate, K12-20cm, 4-5cm wide, with eyelashes on the upper edge and the tip of the tail, sparsely covered with long soft hairs on the veins on both sides, and glabrous otherwise. The panicle is terminal, 15-20cm long; the flowers are yellow with orange glandular dots on all parts, often 1-3 flowers are born at the top of branches 1-1.5cm long; the calyx tube is funnel-shaped, 4-5mm long; the corolla tube is about 1cm long, the lobes are reflexed, about 5mm long; the lateral reduced stamens are lanceolate, the same length as the corolla lobes; the lip is obcune-shaped, about 7mm long, 2-lobed at the apex, reflexed, and born at the base of the filaments; the filaments are 10-12mm long, the anthers are about 4mm long, and there are no wing-like appendages on both sides. Capsule is oval, about 1 cm in diameter. The flowering period is from June to September, and the fruiting period is from August to November.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: Grown in the shade and moistness of forests at an altitude of 400-1300m.

【Cultivation】 Biological characteristics: Prefers warm and humid climate. It is suitable to choose fertile, loose sandy soil or humus soil for cultivation.

[Usage and Dosage] For oral use: decocted in water, 3-6g; or added into powder.
