[Source] It is the bark of the Lancang Shuidonggo plant of the Actinidia family. Available all year round. Use fresh or dried.

[Original form] Evergreen small tree, 4 to 10 meters high. The stem is much branched, the branches are brown and hollow. The leaves are alternate, leathery, oblong, about 30 cm long and 10 cm wide, green above and light brown below, with fine serrations on the edges, more than 30 pairs of lateral veins, nearly parallel, and protruding on the back of the leaves; the petiole is 2 to 4 cm long. The flowers are broadly bell-shaped, pink, about 1 cm in diameter; the panicles are axillary, 30 to 40 cm long. The fruit is spherical, about 1 cm in diameter, reddish-brown, berry-like, sticky when ripe, sweet and edible. Flowering period is summer.

【Usage and Dosage】 For external use: mash and apply or grind into powder and apply. Inner eye: decoct in water, 3-5 qian.

[Additional prescription] To treat swelling and pain after joint dislocation: mash the snot fruit and caviar together and apply to the affected area. (Selected Chinese Herbal Medicines from Simao, Yunnan)
