[Source] It is the flower of Rhododendron candidum, a plant of the Ericaceae family. Collected in spring and summer. Use fresh or dry in the shade.

[Original form] Evergreen tree, 3 to 8 meters high. The bark is brown and peels off in irregular flakes. The leaves are alternate; oblong-lanceolate, 10-15 cm long, 3-4 cm wide, mucronate at the apex, cuneate at the base, entire and wavy edges, dark green above, light brown beneath, densely covered with yellow-brown hairs. Most of the flowers are clustered at the top of the branches, forming umbel-like racemes; the flowers are large and beautiful, purple-red, with a funnel-shaped corolla and a diameter of 3 to 5 cm. The capsule is cylindrical, with five ribs and covered with yellow-brown hairs. Flowering period: spring.

[Habitat distribution] Growing in bushes on hillsides, roadsides and village edges. Distributed in the southwest region.
