The difference between Cordyceps flower and Cordyceps sinensis

It is well known that Cordyceps sinensis is a very precious Chinese medicinal material with obvious nourishing effect on the human body. Especially for people with weaker bodies, drinking Cordyceps sinensis soup regularly can help enhance the body's immunity and prevent the occurrence of diseases. In addition, there is another medicinal ingredient called Cordyceps Flower. Many people cannot distinguish the difference between these two medicinal ingredients. The following explains the difference between Cordyceps Flower and Cordyceps Sinensis.

1. Different growth environments

1. Cordyceps: Cordyceps sinensis is all wild and grows on grass slopes near the snow line above the alpine grassland shrub belt at an altitude of 3,000 to 5,000 meters. It is mainly distributed in high-altitude areas of about 4,000 meters above sea level in Qinghai, Tibet, Sichuan, Yunnan, Guizhou and Gansu in my country. Cordyceps is also cultivated in Jilin area in Northeast China.

2. Cordyceps flower: It is mainly cultivated artificially. The culture medium imitates the various nutrients contained in natural Cordyceps, including grains, beans, eggs and milk, etc. It belongs to a kind of fungus. The optimum growth temperature for mycelium is 15 to 25°C, and the optimum growth temperature for fruiting bodies is 18 to 22°C. The culture room needs to maintain a certain temperature, humidity and air cleanliness.

2. Different morphological characteristics

1. Cordyceps: It is shaped like an old silkworm, with a yellow-brown surface, many wrinkles on the back, and eight pairs of legs on the abdomen; its cross-section is white or slightly yellow, with dark yellow edges; it is six centimeters long and about three millimeters in diameter, and looks very much like a grass.

2. Cordyceps flower: orange-yellow with white, the grass branches are about 2.5-6 cm long. The cultivated Cordyceps flowers are relatively thin, with fewer spore heads and a milky aroma. The Cordyceps flower does not have a "worm body" but only orange or yellow "grass".

3. Efficacy

1. Cordyceps: The main active ingredients are cordycepin, cordycepic acid (i.e. D-mannitol), cordyceps polysaccharides and other substances that are beneficial to human absorption. It has many functions such as regulating the immune system function and anti-fatigue.

2. Cordyceps flower: Cordyceps flower is rich in protein, amino acids, cordycepin, mannitol, SOD, polysaccharides and other ingredients. Among them, cordycepic acid and cordycepin can comprehensively regulate the internal environment of the human body, enhance the function of macrophages in the body, and play a certain role in enhancing and regulating the human immune function and improving the body's disease resistance. It is beneficial to the liver and kidneys, replenishes the essence, stops bleeding and resolves phlegm.
