Flowers are solitary in leaf axils, with pedicels 3-5cm long, 5-8mm wide, densely covered with fine hairs and long hairs; sepals are lanceolate, 1.5-2.5cm long, 5-8mm wide, densely covered with stellate fine hairs, and fused at the base; flowers are large, bell-shaped, yellow, with purple-red base inside, petals obovate, 3.5-5cm long; stamen column is 2.5-3cm long, glabrous, with numerous filaments at the tip; style has 8-10 branches, and stigma is capitate. The capsule is 2-3cm long, 1.5-2.2cm in diameter, with 8-10 mericarps, pointed apex, covered with stellate hairs, and containing 7-9 seeds. Seeds reniform, sparsely covered with short bristles. Flowering period is from January to May.
