【Original morphology】Plant height 20-50cm. The rhizome is short and erect, and together with the petiole and rachis, is densely covered with reddish-brown, iridescent, linear-lanceolate scales, gradually pointed at the tip and fibrous, with a broad, branched, and falling-off base. Leaves are clustered; petiole is 7-10cm long, dark brown; leaf blade is papery, lanceolate, 15-30cm long, 3-7cm wide, caudate-acuminate at the apex, gradually shortened at the base, once pinnate; pinnae are 15-40 pairs, alternate, sessile, sickle-lanceolate, the middle one is larger, 1.7-4cm long, 5-15mm wide, gradually pointed or obtuse at the apex, asymmetrical at the base, obliquely truncated and slightly auricular on the upper side, cuneate on the lower side, with irregular tooth cracks on the edge, and the lower pinnae gradually shortened to ovate-rhombus; veins are forked one to two times, raised on both sides and ridge-like; leaves are glabrous on both sides or occasionally have small branched scales on the underside. The sori are linear and oblique, growing on the uppermost side of each group of veinlets near the base or middle, in a row on each side of the midrib, close to the midrib; the sori cap is linear, hard and membranous, with an entire margin.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: Growing on rocks beside roadsides and streams under forests at an altitude of 300-3000m.

【Nature and flavor】 Bitter; neutral

【Functions and indications】 Clears away heat and detoxifies; promotes the production of rash. Mainly used for measles that do not break out; nameless swelling and infection

[Usage and Dosage] For oral use: decocted in water, 9-15g. For external use: take appropriate amount and mash it for application.
