Leaves are alternate; petiole 5-10mm long, scaled when young; leaf blade is hard and papery, oblong-lanceolate, elliptic-lanceolate to oblanceolate, 8-16cm long, 2-4cm wide, acuminate at apex, cuneate at base, entire, more or less scaled on the back, midrib distinct, lateral veins connected into marginal veins near margin. Inflorescences are in the form of cymes or sub-umbels, axillary, sparsely attached to the tops of lateral special branches, with branches up to 8 cm long and ± scaly; pedicels 5-8 mm long, ± scaly; flowers about 3 mm long or slightly shorter; sepals triangular-ovate, acute at apex, 1 mm long, with sparse, fine ciliate and glandular dots; petals white, broadly elliptic-ovate, acute or obtuse at apex, with glandular dots, and pubescent inside near base; stamens are almost as long as petals, anthers ovate to reniform, with ± glandular dots on the back; pistils often extend beyond petals. The fruit is oblate, with 5 obtuse edges, sparse and unclear edges, 5-7mm in diameter, and without glandular dots. The flowering period is May-June, and the fruiting period is December or February-April.
