[Source] It is the leaves of the Euphorbiaceae plant Longliye . Starting from May to June, pick the old green leaves and dry them. Usually 4 to 5 leaves can be harvested from each plant each time, and harvested every 15 days or so.

[Original form] Evergreen small shrub, up to 40 cm tall. The twigs are serpentine and have inconspicuous pubescence. Leaves are alternate, with short petioles; ovate-lanceolate or obovate-lanceolate, 5-8 cm long, 2.5-3.5 cm wide, obtuse with a small convex tip, mucronate or nearly rounded base, entire margin, dark green above, olive green beneath, base of midrib initially pubescent, then bald; stipules small, triangular, straw yellow when mature. The flowers are unisexual, dark purple, clustered in the leaf axils or arranged in a very short raceme; the pedicel is slightly shorter or slightly longer than the calyx; the female calyx has 6 lobes. The lobes are 2-3 mm wide, the outer 3 are nearly spoon-shaped and obtuse, and the inner 3 are broadly obovate and slightly smaller; the ovary is 3-chambered, the styles are 3, slender, and broadly bifurcated; the male calyx is 6-lobed, smaller, the same shape as the female flower, with 3 stamens, filaments united, and the anther elliptical. The capsule is pea-shaped and has a walled stalk, and is almost enclosed by a growing persistent calyx.

[Habitat distribution] Cultivated in Guangdong and Guangxi. Produced in Guangdong and Guangxi.

[Properties] The dry leaves are ovate or obovate-lanceolate, tongue-shaped, obtuse or rounded with a small tip, base short and nearly rounded, entire, withered yellow or dark green, midrib prominent on the back, lateral veins pinnate, and reticulate veins closed near the edge. Paper, thicker. Slight odor, light taste. Large and complete pieces are preferred.
