【Nature and flavor】 ① "Compendium of Materia Medica": "bitter, pungent, poisonous."

【Function】 "Compendium of Materia Medica": "It is mainly used to treat dysentery, cold sores, malignant sores, and leprosy."

【Usage and Dosage】 For external use: grind into powder and apply on skin. For internal use: make into pills.

【Note】 "Japanese Herbal Medicine" says: "Avoid soybean sauce."

[Additional prescription] Treat all kinds of dysentery, diarrhea, and spleen diarrhea: a large leaking basket, half a liang of donkey-hide gelatin, half a liang of costus root, half a liang of coptis root, half a liang of poppy shell, and a little frankincense (grind separately). Except frankincense, grind the other five ingredients into small pieces, fry until they turn black but not too smokey, then bundle them with frankincense and mix well.
