【Original form】 Shrub. Young branches are slender, cylindrical, and covered with gray soft hairs; old branches are brown and glabrous. Leaves are opposite; petiole is 3-5mm long; leaf blade is thin leathery, elliptical or ovate-oblong, sometimes lanceolate, 4-7cm long, 2-3cm wide, apex acuminate, base broadly cuneate or slightly rounded, with numerous tiny glandular dots on both sides, gray-brown above and light brown below when dry; lateral veins are about 12 pairs, not obvious on both sides. The flowers are axillary solitary flowers or 4-6 flowers arranged in cymes; the pedicels are 7-10mm long and covered with short soft hairs; the bracts are oblong and the bracteoles are needle-shaped; the flowers are white and about 1cm in diameter; the calyx tube is hairy, with 4 sepals, broadly ovate and rounded at the tip; the petals are 4, ovate and glabrous; the stamens are slightly longer than the petals, the filaments are red and glabrous; the style is shorter than the stamens. The berries are spherical, about 4mm in diameter.
