【Original morphology】Plant height 20-35cm. The rhizome is short and erect, with the top and the base of the petiole covered with nearly black, lanceolate scales. Leaves are clustered; petiole is 10-15cm long, chestnut red, smooth upward; leaf blade is firm and papery, linear-lanceolate, 8-20cm long, 2-3cm wide, with a long and gradually pointed tip (the rachis is chestnut red, the tip usually extends into a whip shape, roots on the ground, and reproduces asexually), once pinnate; pinnae are 15-30 pairs, alternate, the middle one is larger, about 1.5cm long, about 8mm wide, split triangular, upper edge shallowly to deeply lobed, base asymmetric, truncate, lower edge straight and entire; each pinna is slightly shortened downward, gradually becomes smaller, sparse, and isomorphic upward; leaf veins are fan-shaped, many times dichotomously branched, extending to the leaf margin. The sori are oblong or reniform, growing horizontally on the underside of the sori cap which is formed by the metamorphosis and reflexion of the lobes, with 2-5 on each pinna; the sori cap is reniform or oblong, with a straight upper edge, gray-brown, entire, and glabrous.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: Growing in forest wetlands or on rocks at an altitude of 600-2500m.
