[Original morphology] Euonymus fibrosus is a creeping or erect shrub, 1-3m high, with opposite leaves; petiole 5-10mm long; leaf blade ovate, oblong-ovate or nearly ovate, 3-7cm long, 2-3.5cm wide, obtuse or obtusely acuminate at the apex, cuneate to nearly circular at the base, with fine, often nearly ciliate serrations on the edge. The cymes have slender stalks, the peduncle is 2-4cm long, with a single flower in the center and a pedicel more than 1cm long; the flowers are white-green, 6-10mm in diameter, and 4-merous; the calyx and petals have obvious veins; the stamens have very short filaments; the disk is flat and thick. The capsule is oblate, slightly square, 1-1.5cm in diameter, with 4 wings, which are narrow and long, slightly narrow near the tip, 5-8mm long, and the fruit pedicel is thin, cylindrical, and 3-5cm long including the pedicel.
