The racemes are sparse, simple or bifurcated; the flowers are solitary or clustered in 2, with ovate bracts, about 8mm long, and lavender; the sepals are light green and stained purple, lanceolate, about 1.5cm long; the corolla tube is apricot yellow, about 1.5cm long, the corolla lobes are apricot yellow and the tip is stained purple, about 4cm long; the outer whorl of reduced stamens is 2 (-3), petal-shaped, oblanceolate, about 5.5cm long, about 1cm wide, red, apricot yellow at the base, erect, one of which is slightly concave; the lip is lanceolate, 4.5cm long, curled, 2-lobed at the tip, red on the upper part, and apricot yellow at the base; the developed stamens are needle-shaped, about 4.2cm long, apricot yellow and stained red, and the anther chamber is 9mm long; the ovary is spherical, 6mm in diameter, green, and densely covered with small wart-like protrusions.
