【Original morphology】Plant height 40-65cm. The rhizome is long and horizontal, densely covered with brown-black, ovate-lanceolate scales, with a long and gradually pointed tip and small teeth on the edges. Leaves are distal; petiole 15-40cm long, light brown, with narrow wings on the upper part, sparsely scaly; leaf blade herbaceous, broadly lanceolate or halberd-shaped, 13-25cm long, 5-15cm wide at the base, apex long acuminate, base truncate, with a pair of flat lanceolate lobes or margins split into 2-6 pairs of irregular lobes, rarely simple, glabrous above, sparsely scaled along veins and rachis when young below, base long and decurrent; lobes linear-lanceolate to linear, 4.5-9cm long, 8-18mm wide, sometimes base not split but broadly cuneate, entire or shallowly wavy; pinnate lateral veins obvious, slightly obliquely spreading, veinlets reticulate, with 2 rows of mesh between each pair of lateral veins, inner veinlets single or forked. Sori linear, attached to reticulate veins, arranged in a row between each pair of lateral veins, continuous or occasionally interrupted; no sori cover.
