Leaves are alternate; leathery, with short petioles; stipules are narrow and fall off early; leaf blades are elliptical, elliptical-obovate, ovate or obovate, 1.5-5.5cm long, 1-2.8cm wide, with short pointed tips, rounded base, slightly oblique, smooth or slightly rough, dark green on the upper side, hairy when young, falling off later, light green, with single serrations on the edges. Flowers clustered in leaf axils, with short stalks; perianth 4-lobed; 4 stamens; 1 pistil, 1-chambered, stigma 2-lobed, curled outwards. The samaras are ovate-oval, about 1 cm long and 0.6 cm wide, with a concave apex and the seed in the center. The flowering period is from July to September, and the fruiting period is from October to November.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: Grown in plains, hills, mountains and sparse forests below 1300m above sea level.
