[Original form] Sichuan yellow Ruimu shrub or small tree, 3-4m high. Young branches densely covered with yellow-brown long hairs. Leaves are alternate; petiole 5-7mm long, densely covered with yellow-brown scattered long soft hairs; leaf blade is leathery, oblong-ovate, 10-14m long, 3-4.5cm wide, acuminate at apex, cuneate at base, entire, glabrous above, covered with yellow-brown long soft hairs below, with 11-12 pairs of lateral veins, raised on both sides. Flowers are solitary in leaf axils, white; pedicels are curved, pubescent, 1-1.8 cm long; sepals are 5, broadly ovate, pubescent on the back, obtuse at the apex, with eyelashes on the edges; the middle part of the back of the petals is covered with flat silky hairs; ovary is spherical, sparsely pubescent, style is glabrous, about 9 mm long. The berry is about 1 cm in diameter, pubescent or nearly glabrous, with a persistent style. Seeds numerous, light reddish brown, shiny.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: mountains, ditches and forests.

[Properties] Identification of properties: The leaves are brown-green or dark green, oblong when flattened, 7-10cm long, 2-3cm wide, slightly pointed at the tip, cuneate at the base, entire; glabrous above, with brown hairs below, and veins raised on both sides. The leaves are thick and not easy to break. The petiole is short and covered with long hairs. It has a faint smell and a bitter taste.
