Leaves are opposite; sessile; leaf blades are linear or linear-lanceolate, 10-23mm long, 2-3mm wide, gradually pointed at the apex with small thorn-like tips, entire or occasionally divided, and covered with white filamentous pubescence on both sides. The raceme is terminal, with a few flowers, and the units are born in the axils of bracts, erect or oblique; the pedicel is 2-5mm long, with 2 bracteoles, linear or lanceolate; the lower part of the calyx is tubular, densely covered with filamentous soft hairs, often with 11 veins, and 5 teeth in the upper part, linear or subulate, each tooth is nearly equal in length, and there are often 1-2 additional small teeth between the teeth; the corolla is yellow, 3.0-4.5cm long, two-lipped, covered with white soft hairs on the outside, with glandular dots inside, the lower lip is 3-lobed, with two folds behind its two clefts, and the upper lip is 2-lobed; the stamens are 4, didyna, slightly exposed in the throat of the corolla, the base of the filaments is hairy, and there are 2 ventricles, longitudinally fissured; the ovary is oblong, and the style is slender.
