[Source] Medicinal material source: the whole herb of the climbing star fern of the Polypodiaceae family.

【Original morphology】Plant height 20-50cm. The rhizome is climbing, slightly flat, sparsely covered with lanceolate scales, long and gradually pointed, oval at the base, and sparsely serrated at the edge. Leaves are distal; petioles are 3-7cm long, sparsely scaled at the base, and connected to the rhizome by joints; leaf blades are thick papery, narrowly lanceolate, 10-43cm long, 2-4.5cm wide, gradually pointed at the apex, sharply narrowed to a cuneate shape at the base and extending downward into wings, with entire or slightly wavy margins; midrib is raised on both sides, lateral veins are not obvious, veinlets are reticular, and there are forked internal veinlets in the meshes. The sori are round, small and dense, scattered on the upper half of the back of the spore leaves; there is no sori cover.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: Growing on the edge of mountain forests at an altitude of 500-1500m, climbing on tree trunks or rocks.
