Chinese patent medicine for diuresis

Dampness has a very adverse effect on human health. If the moisture is too heavy, it can also cause many health problems in the human body. Therefore, when moisture problems occur, it is important to seek treatment early. In current traditional Chinese medicine, there are many Chinese patent medicines that can be used to treat dampness. Below, I would like to recommend several medicines that can effectively treat dampness!

1. Longdan Xiegan Pills

It is composed of 10 Chinese medicinal herbs: gentian, bupleurum, scutellaria, gardenia (fried), oriental water plantain, akebia, salt-soaked plantain seeds, wine-soaked angelica, rehmannia, and roasted licorice. Longdan Xiegan Pills are mainly used for damp-heat in the liver and gallbladder, dizziness, red eyes, tinnitus, deafness, flank pain and bitter taste in the mouth, red urine, and damp-heat in the lower body. Longdan Xiegan Pills are bitter and cold in nature. They are not suitable for people with other chronic diseases of the spleen and stomach, such as those with weak spleen and stomach.

2. Wuweixianglian Pills

It is made up of costus root, coptis root, evodia rutaecarpa (roasted with licorice), white peony root, and yanhusuo (roasted with vinegar). Clears away heat and dampness, promotes qi and relieves pain. It is used for abdominal pain, diarrhea, red and white dysentery, mixed pus and blood, and tenesmus caused by damp-heat in the stomach and intestines.

3. Yinchen Wuling Pills

It is composed of Artemisia capillaris, Alisma orientalis, Poria cocos, Polyporus umbellatus, Atractylodes macrocephala (fried), and cinnamon bark. Clears dampness and heat, and promotes urination. It is used for damp-heat jaundice caused by damp-heat in the liver and gallbladder, stagnation of the spleen and lungs, distension of the gallbladder and abdomen, and difficulty urinating. Compared with Longdan Xiegan Pills, Yinchen Wuling Pills are more suitable for those with heavier dampness. Please note that it should not be used by people with jaundice caused by cold, dampness or yin, and should be used with caution by pregnant women.

4. Gegenqinlian Pills

It is composed of Pueraria lobata, Scutellaria baicalensis, Coptis chinensis, and roasted licorice. It can relieve muscles and penetrate the surface, clear away heat and detoxify, promote dampness and stop diarrhea. It is used for diarrhea, abdominal pain, yellow and sticky stools, and burning sensation in the anus caused by accumulation of damp heat; and fever, aversion to wind, headache, and body pain caused by wind-heat cold. Note that it is not suitable for people with spleen and stomach deficiency and diarrhea.

5. Ermiao Pills

It is composed of Atractylodes lancea (fried) and Phellodendron chinense (fried). Drying dampness and clearing heat. It is used for damp-heat invasion, redness, swelling, heat and pain in the feet and knees, erysipelas of the lower limbs, leucorrhea, and damp and itchy scrotum. Sanmiao Pills adds Achyranthes bidentata to the formula of Ermiao Pills, and Simiao Pills adds Achyranthes bidentata and Coix seed to the formula of Ermiao Pills. Coix seed strengthens the spleen and eliminates dampness, while Achyranthes bidentata nourishes the liver and kidneys and promotes diuresis. Therefore, Simiao Pills has enhanced the function of strengthening the spleen and eliminating dampness.

6. Liver and Gallbladder Double Clearing Oral Liquid

It is composed of bear bile powder, peony bark, Scutellaria barbata, Codonopsis pilosula, Angelica sinensis, Ligustrum lucidum, Agarwood and malt. Clears away heat, promotes bile secretion, and regulates Qi and blood. It is used as an auxiliary treatment for symptoms such as dull pain in the ribs, dry mouth, bitter taste in the mouth, poor appetite and fatigue caused by damp-heat in the liver and gallbladder and imbalance of qi and blood.
