[Source] Medicinal material source: the roots, rhizomes or leaves of the Asteraceae plant.

[Original form] The red-haired horse-hoof fragrance is a perennial herb, 30-60cm tall. The rhizome is short and has many fibrous roots. Leaves are basal; petioles are 10-20cm long; leaves are ovate-lanceolate, slightly leathery, 5-15cm long, 4-9cm wide, with rounded or acuminate apex, shallowly cordate base, margins densely covered with brown-yellow rough hairs and small teeth, dark green above, and densely covered with thick white wool below. The stem is erect, purple-red, with brown-yellow strigosus, which becomes thinner later; most of the flower heads are densely packed into compound racemes; the peduncle is thin; the bracts are several layers, arranged in a shingle-like manner, and are membranous, with the outer layer slightly smaller; each flower head has about 2-flowered flowers, drooping; the corolla is white and deeply lobed. Achenes are about 4mm long and pubescent; pappus are dirty white, feathery, and about 5mm long.
