The efficacy and function of black soybean

Black soybeans are a traditional Chinese medicine. There are precedents of using black soybeans to treat diseases in ancient times, so we can eat them with confidence. Next, I will mainly introduce to you the benefits of black soybeans.

[Other names] Black beans (from "Zuohoufang"), black beans (from "Rihuazi Materia Medica"), winter beans (from "Sichuan Chinese Medicine Records").

[Source] The black seeds of soybean , a plant of the legume family.

[Original form] Soybean (Ben Jing), also known as: big bean (Guan Zi).

[Habitat distribution] Cultivated throughout the country.

[Chemical composition] It is rich in protein, fat and carbohydrate, as well as carotene, vitamin B1, B2, niacin, etc.; it also contains the following ingredients: 1. Isoflavones: soybean flavonoids and genistein. The content of the former is 0.007, and after hydrolysis, soybean flavonoids and glucose are obtained; the content of the latter is 0.01-0.15%, and after hydrolysis, genistein and glucose are obtained. ㈡Saponin: There are 5 aglycones, namely soybean saponin A, B, C, D, and E. The sugars combined with the aglycones include glucose, xylose, galactose, arabinose, rhamnose and glucuronic acid. The ratio of aglycone to sugar is 1:1. The saponin content in defatted soybean flour is about 0.60%. In addition, it contains 2.06-2.90 mg/g of choline, 2.30 μg/g of folic acid, 0.74 μg/g of folinic acid, about 13 mg/kg of pantothenic acid, 750 nanograms/g of biotin, 0.008 μg% of vitamin B12, and about 0.04% of sialic acid. The hydrolyzate of soybean contains 0.971-3.559% levulinic acid.

[Pharmacological action] Soybeans contain trace amounts of daidzein and genistein (hydrolyzate), both of which have estrogen-like effects (oral administration of 2.5 g/mouse/day, uterine weight measured after 6 days). The intensity of the effect is genistein: biochanin A: daidzein = 1.5:1.0:0.4, but some people believe that daidzein is stronger than the other two. Soy flavonoids are not absorbed by subcutaneous injection in mice, and their estrogen-like effects when taken orally or injected intraperitoneally are equivalent to 0.00001 of diethylstilbestrol. If livestock consume too much feed containing this type of isoflavones, it may have some impact on their physiological functions. Soybean flavonoids have an antispasmodic effect on the isolated mouse small intestine, with a total efficacy of 37% of papaverine.
