[Source] It is the whole herb of Solanum pauciflorum of the Solanaceae family. Harvested in spring, summer and autumn.

[Original morphology] Annual erect herb, branched, bald or nearly bald, about 1 meter high. The stem is slender and green. Single leaves are alternate, ovate to rectangular, 4 to 8 cm long, gradually pointed at the apex and shortly pointed at the base. The margin is nearly entire, or has irregular angular coarse teeth, thin in texture, dark green with small dots on the upper side, light green on the lower side, and the veins are raised on the back of the leaf; the petiole is slender, about 1 cm long. Inflorescence stalk is axillary, 1-2.5 cm long, slender; there are 2-5 flowers arranged in umbels; calyx is green, 5-lobed, and the lobes are ovate; corolla is white, 6-8 mm in diameter; there are 5 stamens, attached to the crown throat, anthers are glued into a cone, and the apex is cracked; ovary has 2 chambers and many ovules. The fruit is spherical and fleshy, about 5 mm in diameter, green when young and black when ripe. Flowering period is between summer and autumn.
