[Original form] Perennial herb. The stem is up to 80 cm tall, branched at the top, and glabrous. Petiole 2-10mm long; stipules awl-shaped, 1.5-2.5mm long, glabrous; leaf blade nearly papery, obliquely oblong, 7-17cm long, 3-5cm wide, apex cuspidate (cusp head entire), base asymmetrical, narrowly cuneate on narrow side or rounded on broad side, margin entire at lower part with shallow blunt teeth on it, glabrous, occasionally with a few short hairs scattered above, stalactites dense, linear. Monoecious or dioecious; male inflorescences axillary, peduncles about 1 cm long, numerous flowers; male flowers 5 tepals; 5 stamens; pedicels 2-3 cm long; female inflorescences small, receptacle rectangular or nearly square, peduncles less than 1.5 mm long, ovate bracts with angular protrusions on the edges. Achenes narrowly ovate, about 1 mm long, smooth. Flowering period is from June to September.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: Growing in valleys or on ditch rocks at an altitude of 500-1000m.

【Nature and flavor】 slightly bitter; pungent; cool

【Functions and indications】Relieve rheumatism; disperse blood stasis and swelling; relieve heat and toxins. It is used to treat rheumatic fever, red and swollen eyes, jaundice, and fractures caused by falls.

[Usage and Dosage] For oral use: decoction, 6-15g. For external use: take appropriate amount and mash fresh product for application.
