[Source] Medicinal material source: the pseudobulb or whole herb of the orchid plant Bulbophyllum ginkgo.

[Original form] Guangdong Bulbophyllum, an epiphyte. The rhizome is long and about 2mm thick. The pseudobulb is nearly oblong, 1-2.5 cm long, 2-5 mm thick, 2-7 cm apart, with many fibrous roots at the base. There is one leaf at the terminal end with a short petiole; the leaf blade is leathery, oblong, 2-6.5cm long, 4-10mm wide, obtuse and slightly concave at the apex, gradually narrowed to a cuneate shape at the base, and entire; the midrib is obvious. The scape is higher than the leaves, up to 8 cm long, and covered with 3-5 sheaths. The raceme is shortened and umbeled, terminal, with 2-4 (7) flowers; the bracts are small, shorter than the pedicel (with ovary); the flowers are pale yellow; the sepals are nearly identical, linear-lanceolate, the middle sepal is about 1 cm long, the lateral sepals are slightly longer, the upper margin is rolled up and tubular, the apex is caudate, and the base is mostly attached to the base of the gynandrosteum and the foot of the column; the petals are narrowly lanceolate, about 5 mm long, long acuminate, and entire; the lip is opposite, shorter than the petals, with 4 pleats on the lip disc; the foot of the gynandrosteum is short, and its free part is about 0.4 mm long. The flowering period is June, and the fruiting period is August-October.
