The cymes are twice branched, 2-5 in number, with 4-11 flowers in each inflorescence; the peduncle is 6-12cm long; the bracts are oblong-lanceolate, densely covered with brown silky wool; the pedicel is about 1cm long; the calyx is 5-lobed to near the base, the lobes are equal, oblong-lanceolate, covered with silky wool outside, and nearly glabrous inside; the corolla is thinly tubular, blue-purple, covered with short soft hairs outside, the tube is 1.2-1.5cm long, equal to or slightly longer than the eaves, the throat is constricted, slightly swollen near the base, the eaves is two-lipped, the upper lip is 2-lobed, the lower lip has 3 lobes that are nearly equal, nearly narrowly oblong, 7-10mm long, and about 3mm wide; there are 4 fertile stamens, separate; the disk is annular; the pistil is glabrous; the ovary is linear-oblong, 7-10mm long, the style is 2-3mm long, and the stigma is 1, disc-shaped. The capsule is oblanceolate, about 4.5 cm long. The flowering period is June-July, and the fruiting period is August.
