【Functions and indications】 Clears away heat, detoxifies, reduces swelling and stops bleeding. Treat carbuncle, lung abscess, bruises, and bleeding from knife wounds.

[Usage and Dosage] For oral use: decocted in water, 3-5 qian (0.5-1 liang for fresh use); or mashed into juice. For external use: mash and apply.

[Additional prescription] ① For treating lung abscess: 8 qian of Viola tricholoma, 5 qian of Houttuynia cordata, 2 liang of Herba Cyperi scabra. Boil two pounds of water into one pound, divide it into four times, add salt or sugar, and take it once every two hours for five to seven days. (Quanzhou Materia Medica)
