[Habitat distribution] Mainly produced in Guangdong and Guangxi. In addition, it is also produced in Fujian and other places.

[Properties] The fruit peel is intact, usually divided into three lobes, each lobe is nearly round, connected together at the fruit stalk, and sometimes broken and separated into single lobes. The petals are mostly curled outward, with the white inner layer clearly exposed; the pericarp is about 1 mm thick. The outer surface is yellow-orange to reddish-orange with numerous large, concave oil spots. The inner surface is white and cottony, with oil spots slightly recessed. The texture is loose and soft, and remains not brittle after drying. It has a rich aroma and tastes slightly spicy but not very bitter. It has thin skin, large slices and soft texture. The better ones are those with fewer spots, oiliness and strong fragrance.

[Chemical composition] The peel of the tangerine contains hesperidin, nobiletin and volatile oil.

[Preparation] Brush off the dirt, pick out impurities, spray with clean water, soak until moist, cut into strips or slices, and dry.
