[Original morphology] The fruiting bodies of the dense wood-layer fungus are lateral and sessile, lying flat and curled. The cap is semicircular to conchoidal, (2-11)cm×(3.5-13.5)cm, 1-4.5cm thick, woody and hard; the surface of the cap is yellow-brown to nearly black, with concentric ring ridges; the edges are sharp, wavy, and hairy, and there is no hymenium on the lower side. The surface of the tube mouth is yellow-brown; the tube mouth is round, with 4-6 openings per 1mm; the bacterial tube has multiple layers, but the layers are not very obvious, each layer is 2-3mm thick, and the color is the same as the fungus flesh. The flesh is light brown and 1-2 mm thick. There are many setae, (25-35)μm×7.5μm. Spores are ovoid to nearly spherical, colorless to nearly colorless, (5-6)μm×(4.5-5)μm.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: Grown on rotten wood of elm and neem.
