[Original form] Deciduous tree, up to 20 meters high. The bark is dark gray; the twigs are gray, pubescent and densely covered with lenticels. The leaves are bipinnate, opposite, thickly papery, with a cylindrical rachis and densely silky gray short soft hairs; the leaflets are 9 to 15, oblong-ovate, 4.5 to 7 cm long, 1.8 to 2.5 cm wide, with short acuminate tips, rounded bases, irregular serrations on the margins, and gray hairs on the main veins below; the petiolules are short, about 2 to 3 mm long. The panicle is terminal, about 20 cm long; the flowers are yellow. The capsule is ovate, about 4 cm long and 3 cm wide, with a rounded tip and a pointed tip, and three lobed. Seeds round, black.

[Habitat distribution] Grown in sparse forests in mountains. Distributed in Guangdong, Guangxi, Jiangxi, Hunan, Zhejiang, Hubei, Sichuan, Guizhou, Yunnan and other places.
