Damp-heat descending, symptoms include yellow-white and sticky vaginal discharge or yellow watery discharge, burning and itching in the genitals, it is often used together with Euryale ferox, Rosa laevigata, Phellodendron chinense, and Sophora flavescens.

3. Cooling blood and reducing swelling: used for lung abscess, with symptoms of cough, chest pain, vomiting of pus and blood in sputum. It can be used together with Houttuynia cordata, Coix seed, and reed root.

4. Antidote for snake venom: Used for snake bites. This product can be taken orally or applied topically.
