Erythromycin Enteric-coated Tablets

People always get sick for different reasons at different stages in life due to climate, environment or their own physical constitution. Tonsillitis, acute pharyngitis, cervicitis, etc. are common diseases in daily life. Men are generally stronger than women and have relatively better physical fitness, so it is easier to treat them when they are sick. Erythromycin enteric-coated tablets are a good medicine that is widely used to treat many diseases.

The dosage of erythromycin enteric-coated tablets and the number of times a day they are taken are different for people of different ages. Generally, eight to sixteen tablets are enough for an adult at a time, divided into three to four times. The dosage for minors is much less than that for adults, and they need to take it according to a certain weight ratio.

Acute tonsillitis, acute pharyngitis, scarlet fever, cellulitis, diphtheria, gas gangrene, anthrax, tetanus, syphilis, listeriosis, legionellosis, mycoplasma pneumonia, chlamydial pneumonia, urethritis, cervicitis, chlamydia trachomatis conjunctivitis, gonorrhea, periodontitis, Campylobacter jejuni enteritis, whooping cough, gastroenterology, stomatology, ophthalmology, obstetrics and gynecology, nephrology, venereal disease, vascular surgery, general surgery, infectious diseases, otolaryngology, respiratory medicine

Adverse Reactions 1. Gastrointestinal reactions include diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, upper abdominal pain, mouth and tongue pain, decreased appetite, etc. The incidence rate is related to the dose. 2. Hepatotoxicity is rare. Patients may experience fatigue, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, fever, abnormal liver function, and occasionally jaundice. 3. When used in large doses (4g/day), especially in patients with liver or kidney diseases or elderly patients, hearing loss may occur, which is mainly related to excessively high blood drug concentrations (>12mg/L). Most cases can be recovered after stopping the drug. 4. Allergic reactions manifest as drug fever, rash, eosinophilia, etc., with an incidence of about 0.5% to 1%. 5. Others: Occasionally, cardiac arrhythmia, oral or vaginal candidal infection.

Precautions 1. When this product is used to treat hemolytic streptococcal infection, it must be continued for at least 10 days to prevent the occurrence of acute rheumatic fever. 2. Patients with impaired renal function generally do not need to reduce the dosage, but the dosage of this product should be appropriately reduced for patients with severe renal impairment. 3. The dosage of this product should be appropriately reduced for patients with liver disease. 4. Follow up liver function regularly during medication. 5. If a patient is allergic to or cannot tolerate one erythromycin preparation, he or she may also be allergic to or cannot tolerate other erythromycin preparations. 6. Because different bacteria have different sensitivities to erythromycin, drug sensitivity testing should be performed. 7. Interference with diagnosis: This product may interfere with the fluorescence determination of the Higerty method, causing a false increase in the determination value of urinary catecholamines; the determination values of serum alkaline phosphatase, bilirubin, alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase may all increase.

All medicines are poisonous to some extent, so no matter what kind of medicine it is, we need to take it with caution. There are many contraindications for erythromycin enteric-coated tablets, and adverse reactions may occur. Therefore, they must be taken under the doctor's advice, especially for children. Parents must take good care of them. If adverse reactions occur, the drug must be stopped immediately and medical attention must be sought.
