Lactation obstruction, scrofula and malignant ulcers, dampness and arthritis causing stiffness of tendons and veins, pain in joints, heat-toxic bloody diarrhea, and hemorrhoidal bleeding.

① "Ben Jing": "It is used to treat skin heat, malignant sores, carbuncle, hemorrhoids, dampness and arthralgia, and lactation."

② "Bie Lu": "It can stop incontinence, heat sores and itching like hemp beans, and can be used as a bath soup."

③Tao Hongjing: "It can cure various fistulas and scabies."

④ "Medicinal Properties": "It can treat heat toxicity and wind-induced malignant sores on the body, itchy rashes on the skin and muscles."

⑤ "Supplement to Materia Medica": "It can be used to kill insects and wash sores and scabies."

⑥ "Rihuazi Materia Medica": "It can treat high fever in children, clear the small intestine, (treat) spermatorrhea, hematuria, wind-induced red eyes, breast abscess, back rash, scrofula, intestinal wind, discharge pus, replenish blood, treat injuries, repair tendons and bones, apply to wounds, stop bleeding and grow flesh, and clear the meridians."

⑦ "Shanxi Chinese Medicine Records": "It clears heat and cools blood, treats heat-toxic bloody dysentery, epistaxis, bloody hemorrhoids, febrile diseases, etc."

[Usage and Dosage] For oral use: decocted in water, 1.5 to 3 qian (1 to 2 liang for fresh); or made into pills or powder. For external use: decoct in water for washing or grind into powder for application.

[Dos and Don'ts] People with Qi deficiency, those with sores and ulcers who cannot recover, and pregnant women should avoid taking it.

② "Ben Cao Jing Shu": "It is not suitable for patients with sores and ulcers in the yin meridians that are flat and do not break out. It is forbidden to use during pregnancy."

③ "Depei Materia Medica": "People with Qi deficiency are forbidden to use it."
