The efficacy and function of Poria cocos

Poria is a famous traditional Chinese medicinal material in my country, which has a history of cultivation and application in my country for more than 2,000 years. Poria is a medicinal fungus with large fruiting bodies. It is edible when it is not fully mature. It tastes delicious and is very nutritious. The efficacy and effects of Poria are very obvious and can be used to treat a variety of diseases.

One of the effects and functions of Poria is that it has a good diuretic and swelling-reducing effect. It is often used clinically to treat nephritis and symptoms such as edema caused by nephritis. Poria contains polysaccharide, which has many functions such as improving immunity and anti-cancer.

1. To treat floating pulse, fever, thirst and difficulty urinating: 50g each of Poria cocos (peeled), Poria cocos, Alisma orientalis, donkey-hide gelatin and talc (crushed). Add four liters of water to the above five ingredients, boil four of them first, take out two liters, remove the residue, add donkey-hide gelatin and dissolve it, take seven doses of warm water three times a day.

2. To treat swelling from the feet to the abdomen during pregnancy, difficulty urinating, and slight thirst: 250 grams of Poria cocos, grind it into powder, take one inch of it with boiled water, three times a day.

3. To treat malaria, regardless of whether it is new or old: 50 grams of Poria cocos, 25 grams of Poria cocos, 20 grams of Bupleurum chinense, 15 grams of Pinellia ternata, 5 grams of Licorice, three slices of ginger, and two dates. Use three bowls of water to fry one bowl. Take it before it breaks out, boil the residue again and take it after it breaks out.

4. To treat cold and dampness in the stomach and intestines, excessive diarrhea, and lying down without eating: 25 grams of Poria (peeled off the black skin), 2 pieces of Myristica fragrans (peeled off and roasted), 1 fen of Phellodendron chinense (peeled off the rough skin and roasted). Grind the above three ingredients into powder, mix with rice drink and make into pills as big as mung beans. Take 10 pills each time with boiled water before meals.

5. To treat stranguria: 25 grams of Poria cocos. Pound and sieve it, add three he of white soup and a square inch of it to one dose, gradually increase to two spoonfuls, three times a day and twice at night, when it is finished, if the condition is not cured, you should change to laxatives and take Gansui Powder.

Since the founding of the People's Republic of China, the cultivation of Poria cocos has developed greatly, and the annual market demand and supply are very large. Poria not only reduces swelling and promotes diuresis, it can also treat diseases such as nephritis. Its functions and effects also include anti-cancer and anti-radiation. It has a significant protective effect on the liver and has very low toxicity, making it a very safe Chinese medicine.
