Raw Panax notoginseng has the following effects: blood stasis caused by falls, bleeding caused by trauma, postpartum blood loss, hematemesis, epistaxis and other blood diseases.

Cooked Panax notoginseng has the following functions: used for physical weakness, loss of appetite, neurasthenia, excessive fatigue, blood loss, anemia, etc.

For internal use: decocting in water, 3-10g; grinding into powder, taking 1-1.5g each time, 1-3 times a day. For patients with severe blood loss, up to 3-6g may be used; or made into pills or powders. Avoid adding sugar to adjust the taste when taking the medicine, and use corn starch paper to isolate the taste buds.

For internal use: It can be taken with chicken stew or broth, milk, or warm water. 3-5g each time.

Food taboos

1. Pregnant women are prohibited from using: Women are prohibited from taking Panax notoginseng powder during pregnancy. This is the same reason why pregnant women cannot take many western medicines.

2. During a cold: Do not take Panax notoginseng flower during a cold, because Panax notoginseng flower is slightly cool and will aggravate the cold. Panax notoginseng powder is warm in nature and can be taken during a cold. However, it is not advisable to take Panax notoginseng powder if you suffer from wind-heat cold.

3. It is recommended to take Panax notoginseng powder regularly: long-term use of Panax notoginseng powder can promote blood circulation, soften blood vessels, lower blood pressure, lower blood lipids, and treat liver fibrosis.

4. Do not overdose: For people with normal physical condition, the total daily amount of Panax notoginseng powder is about 10 grams, taken in 2 doses.

5. Take in the morning: Take about 3 grams of Panax notoginseng powder in the morning with warm water. It has functions such as enhancing immunity and anti-aging.

6. Take at night: It is best to take Panax notoginseng powder before meals, which helps improve sleep. If you take it after a meal, please take a small amount, preferably no more than 3 grams. Taking too much at night can have a stimulating effect. It is best not to take Panax notoginseng powder before going to bed, as it can make you thirsty.
