Western medicine usually extracts chemicals from plants to make Chinese medicines, which are also more convenient to take. However, Chinese medicine is different from Western medicine. Chinese medicine uses plants directly. Block its nutritional value, and then combine it with different Chinese medicinal materials according to the patient's symptoms to fight the disease. And the herb is one of the most widely used traditional Chinese medicines. So what are the effects and functions of the traditional Chinese medicine Kuihua? 1. The efficacy and function of Chinese medicine Sophora japonica The Chinese medicinal sophora flower is the flower bud of the sophora tree. It is usually picked in the summer when the flowers are about to bloom, dried, and used raw or roasted into charcoal. It should be harvested when the flower buds are still in bloom, and is also called Sophora japonica rice. The flowers of Robinia pseudoacacia of the Leguminosae family introduced from the West cannot be used to make the traditional Chinese medicine Sophora japonica flowers. Only Chinese Sophora pseudoacacia can be used. The main effects of the Chinese medicine Sophora japonica are cooling blood, stopping bleeding, clearing the liver and improving eyesight. Among them, it cools blood and stops bleeding, and is used for blood-heat bleeding syndrome. Such as vomiting blood, nosebleed, blood in stool, hemorrhoidal blood, etc. The Chinese medicine Sophora japonica is cold and bitter in nature, and enters the liver and large intestine meridians. It is good at clearing the heat in the large intestine and cooling the blood to stop bleeding. For treating bloody stool, it is often used together with Schizonepeta tenuifolia, Platycladus orientalis leaves, etc. For treating hematemesis and epistaxis, it is often used together with Imperata root. Clearing the liver and improving eyesight is mainly used to treat headaches, red eyes, dizziness, etc. caused by liver fire. It is also commonly used in modern clinical practice for patients with hypertension due to excessive liver fire, and has the effect of clearing the liver, improving eyesight and lowering blood pressure. The decoction can be used alone as a substitute for tea, or used together with selfheal, chrysanthemum, etc. The traditional Chinese medicine Sophora japonica contains rutin, Sophora japonica glycosides A, B, C, and tannins. It has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antiviral effects. It can reduce the permeability and fragility of capillaries, shorten bleeding time, enhance the resistance of capillaries, lower blood pressure, lower blood lipids, prevent and treat arteriosclerosis, dilate coronary blood vessels, and improve myocardial circulation. 2. Preparation method of Chinese medicine Sophora japonica Sophora japonica flowers are bitter and slightly cold, and enter the liver and large intestine meridians. Function: Cooling blood, stopping bleeding, clearing the liver and purging fire. It is mainly used to treat diseases such as vomiting blood, blood in the stool, hemorrhoidal bleeding, hematuria, metrorrhagia and hypertension. There are three common processing methods for Chinese medicine Sophora japonica: (1) Raw Sophora japonica flower: Take the original medicinal material, remove impurities and branches, and sieve out debris. This product is good at clearing the liver and purging fire, clearing heat and cooling blood, and removing phlegm and relieving cough. It is mostly used to treat patients with blood heat, red eyes due to liver heat, headache and dizziness, swelling and pain due to sores, wheezing and coughing due to lung heat, and phlegm and heat in the lungs. (2) Stir-fried Sophora japonica flowers: Take clean Sophora japonica flowers and place them in a preheated stir-frying container. Heat over low heat until they turn dark yellow. Remove from the heat and let cool. This product has a mild bitter and cold nature. Its heat-clearing and blood-cooling effects are weaker than those of the raw product, and its hemostatic effect is inferior to that of Sophora japonica charcoal but stronger than that of the raw product. Therefore, it is often used to treat bleeding patients with weak spleen and stomach. (3) Sophora japonica charcoal: Take clean Sophora japonica flowers and place them in a preheated frying container. Heat over medium heat until they turn brown. Spray a little water to extinguish the sparks. Fry until dry and let cool. This product has a very weak effect of clearing heat and cooling blood, but its astringent properties are enhanced, with a focus on astringency and hemostasis. Therefore, it is often used to treat various bleeding syndromes such as hemoptysis, epistaxis, blood in the stool, hemorrhoidal bleeding, and metrorrhagia. |
