Effects and functions of Changbai Mountain ginseng

Everyone knows that ginseng is a tonic, so it is often used as medicine or made into medicinal food to help people strengthen their bodies. There are many varieties of ginseng, among which Changbai Mountain ginseng is the most famous. It has the functions of regulating the central nervous system, promoting the brain's utilization of energy substances, and improving the heart. There are also many ways to eat it. Directly slicing it and soaking it in water for drinking, stewing chicken with ginseng, etc. are all very good ways to eat it.

Ginseng can regulate the central nervous system, improve the excitation and inhibition process of the brain, and make it tend to be balanced; it can improve the ability of mental and physical labor, improve work efficiency, and have an anti-fatigue effect.

2 Promote the brain's utilization of energy substances and improve learning and memory abilities. The active ingredients in ginseng that enhance learning and memory abilities are ginsenosides, among which ginsenosides Rb1 and Rg1 have a good effect on learning and memory functions. Ginseng root saponins promote the learning and memory process of normal rats, while ginseng stem and leaf saponins have a significant improvement effect on memory impairment in rats induced by electric shock. Both of them significantly increased the content of monoamine neurotransmitters in different brain regions of normal rats. These research works have certain reference value for the rational application of ginseng plant resources.

3. Improve heart function

Ginseng can increase myocardial contractility, slow down heart rate, increase cardiac output and coronary blood flow, and resist myocardial ischemia and arrhythmia. Ginseng has a significant effect of resisting hypoxia, and its preparations can effectively fight sinus arrhythmia. Ginsenosides can accelerate lipid metabolism and have a significant effect in lowering high cholesterol. Small doses of ginseng can slightly increase the blood pressure of anesthetized animals, while large doses can lower blood pressure. Different ginseng preparations can enhance the function of isolated toad hearts and in vivo rabbit, cat and dog hearts, and can improve myocardial weakness during ventricular fibrillation.

(II) How to eat ginseng

1. Cut the wild ginseng into thin slices, put it in your mouth and chew it slowly. You can also soak the ginseng slices in honey or rock sugar water and take it the next day. Adults can take 1 gram of dried ginseng and 3-4 grams of fresh ginseng per day. Children can take half the amount. Eat it like chewing bubble gum before breakfast and dinner.

2. Cut the wild ginseng into thin slices and put it into a cup with boiling water to drink. Adults can take 1 gram of dried ginseng and 3-4 grams of fresh ginseng daily. Children can take half the amount. Drink it like tea. After a few days, slowly chew the ginseng in the cup and eat it.

3. Grind the wild ginseng into powder, stir it into a paste with honey or rock sugar water, and take it the next day. Adults take 1 gram per day, and children take half the amount, and take it before meals in the morning and evening.

4. Take 1 wild ginseng (fresh), about 30 grams, add 50 grams of wild Ganoderma lucidum (dried), and 2 to 3 kilograms of white wine (50℃ to 60℃), soak for 50 to 60 days (the longer the better), and start taking it in the morning and evening, 15 to 20 grams each time.

5. Chicken stewed with ginseng. Take about 30 grams of fresh wild ginseng and about 30 grams of dried astragalus. Put the ginseng and astragalus in the chicken's stomach. Put the chicken in a porcelain bowl, seal it, and simmer it in water. After the chicken is deboned, eat it every morning and evening. It will be finished in about 7 days.

6. Ginseng glutinous rice chicken. Take about 30 grams of fresh wild ginseng, add about 30 grams of dried astragalus, 6 to 10 dates, and 100 to 150 grams of glutinous rice. Put the ginseng, astragalus, and dates into a chicken's stomach. Put the chicken in a porcelain bowl, seal it, and simmer it in water. After the chicken is deboned, eat it every morning and evening. It will take about 7 days to finish.
