What Chinese medicine should I take for gastritis

Gastric disease is a common disease among people, including gastritis and gastroenteritis. Nausea, confusion, and vomiting usually occur. In addition, problems such as weakness in the limbs, numbness, abdominal distension, abdominal pain, and diarrhea may occur. Therefore, we need to pay attention to treatment, but there are many methods to treat gastritis. So what Chinese medicine should we take for gastritis and what medicine should we take for gastroenteritis?

1. What Chinese medicine should I take for gastritis?

Su Geng and Fo Shou Pian: These two Chinese medicines are the first choice for treating gastritis. Both have the effect of promoting qi and harmonizing the stomach, and can eliminate symptoms such as bloating and belching in patients. If the patient's tongue coating is greasy, you can add Houttuynia cordata to enhance the effect of removing dampness. In addition, the combination of Houttuynia cordata and Sophora flavescens has antibacterial effects.

Amomum villosum and dried tangerine peel: These two Chinese medicines have the effect of eliminating dampness and regulating qi. Amomum villosum is an aromatic stomachic medicine. When used together with tangerine peel, it can not only enhance the patient's gastrointestinal function, but also has antibacterial and anti-ulcer effects.

2. Dietary principles for chronic gastritis

1. Eat small meals frequently at regular times and in regular amounts to avoid overeating and reduce the burden on your stomach.

For patients with mild conditions, a low-residue and semi-liquid diet can be adopted, the same as the low-residue and semi-liquid diet for acute gastritis, five meals a day. During the recovery period, you can eat soft rice with little residue. The diet content and frequency of meals are the same as those for acute gastritis, and four meals a day are appropriate. If the calorie intake is insufficient, you can supplement it with a combination of dry and liquid snacks, such as 1 cup of milk, 2 biscuits; 1 cup of malted milk; boiled eggs, etc.

2. Use food that is easy to digest.

Choose fish, poultry and meat with short and soft meat fibers, such as fish, shrimp, chicken, tender beef, lean pork, etc. Patients with insufficient or lacking gastric acid secretion, such as atrophic gastritis, should be given the above-mentioned nitrogen-rich fish soup, chicken soup, meat soup and mushroom soup, rice porridge, sour foods, fragrant condiments and appropriate amounts of sweet and sour foods to enhance gastric juice secretion, increase gastric acid concentration and appetite.
