Leaves are alternate; petiole is 3-9cm long, densely covered with reddish brown long soft hairs; leaf blade is nearly round or ovate, length and width are 10-17cm or larger, apex is obtuse, sometimes slightly concave, base is cordate, lobes on both sides are rounded, expanded, margins are entire, both sides are densely covered with reddish brown long soft hairs, 7-9 basal veins. Flowers grow at the same time as leaves, solitary in leaf axils; pedicels 3-5cm long, often drooping downward; bracteoles awl-shaped, densely covered with reddish-brown long soft hairs; perianth tube sharply curved in the middle, sac-shaped-obovate in the lower part, 5-6cm long, narrowed from the curved part to the eaves to form a tubular shape, 1.5-2cm long, light red on the outside, with purple veins, densely covered with reddish-brown long soft hairs; eaves disc-shaped, dark purple on the inside with black papillate dots, obvious reticulate veins, inconspicuous edges with shallow 3-lobes, lobes flat, broadly triangular, nearly equal in size; throat nearly circular, dark purple; anthers in pairs adnate to the syncytium near the base; ovary cylindrical, densely covered with reddish-brown long hairs; syncytium 3-lobed at the apex, lobes obtuse at the apex, edges extending downward, with papillate protrusions. The capsule is oblong, 15-18cm long, with 6 ribs, and splits downward from the tip when ripe. Seeds ovate, dorsal surface flat-convex.
