What are the effects and functions of gallnut?

In our lives, Western medicine treatment has obviously become the mainstream, but sometimes when Western medicine cannot exert sufficient effect, people often try Chinese medicine. After all, traditional Chinese medicine has a history of thousands of years in our country, so its therapeutic effect on some diseases is better than that of Western medicine, which has a relatively short development time. So what are the effects of Wubeizi?

The role of gallnut

1. Prolonged enteritis

Fry the gallnut with vinegar, grind it into fine powder, take 3 grams each time, with rice soup, twice a day. It can also be used externally to treat mild diarrhea or persistent diarrhea in infants and young children caused by fright or irregular diet. The method is: 2 parts of gallnut (fried until yellow), 2 parts of dried ginger, 1 part each of Evodia rutaecarpa and clove, grind them into powder and mix them evenly, take about 10 grams each time, mix it into a paste with white wine, apply it to the navel of the child, fix it with adhesive tape, apply once a day for 2-3 times.

2. Spontaneous sweating and night sweats

Grind the roasted yellow gallnut (cinnabar can also be added in a ratio of 5:1) into fine powder, mix it into a paste with warm water, apply it to the navel of the child before going to bed, and apply it tightly with adhesive tape to prevent air leakage. Use it for about 1 week.

3. Enuresis in children

Take an appropriate amount of gallnut, grind it into fine powder, and apply it to the navel of the child. Use adhesive tape to stick it tightly to prevent air leakage. Wash the navel the next night and continue to apply it for one week.

4. Hematoma trauma

Grind the gallnut into powder and sieve it (you can add an equal amount of adzuki beans), mix it into a paste with vinegar, apply it to the affected area and bandage it. Change the dressing once every 2-3 days. It has the effect of reducing swelling and relieving pain. It is suitable for bruises, sprains, closed fractures, large orthopedic hematomas, gynecological perineal hematomas, and can also be used for mastitis, mumps, etc.

5. Furuncles and sores

Grind 30 grams of gallnut into fine powder, mix with vinegar and apply to the affected area 3 times a day. Or use gallnut with phellodendron, terminalia chebula, green fruit and alum, decoct in water and wash the affected area. Use one dose 3 times a day for 5 consecutive days.
