Note: Most Qi-replenishing drugs are warm in nature and should not be used by those with Yin deficiency and excess fire.

Commonly used qi-replenishing medicines include: ginseng, codonopsis, pseudostellaria, astragalus, yam, Acanthopanax, Atractylodes, lotus seeds, white hyacinth bean, jujube, licorice, etc.

Commonly used qi-replenishing foods include: beef, chicken, pigeon meat, quail, sea cucumber, bean curd, and pork, beef, and lamb tripe.

2. Manifestations of Blood Deficiency Syndrome

The main symptoms of blood deficiency syndrome are pale or dark yellow complexion, pale lips, dizziness, palpitations and insomnia, numbness of hands and feet, scanty menstruation, delayed menstruation or even amenorrhea in women, etc. Blood-enriching drugs can be used for treatment. For general blood deficiency syndrome, you can choose donkey-hide gelatin preparations, angelica preparations, Millettia reticulata tablets, Polygonum multiflorum tablets, Guipi pills, etc.

Commonly used blood-enriching medicines include: Angelica sinensis, Rehmannia glutinosa, donkey-hide gelatin, Polygonum multiflorum, Millettia reticulata, white peony root, etc.

Commonly used blood-enriching foods include: animal blood, animal liver, animal spine, black sesame, black fungus, brown sugar, etc.

1. Longan

Ingredients: 6 longans, 10 grams of black tea, and appropriate amount of brown sugar.

Preparation method: Clean the longan and black tea separately, put them in a pot, add appropriate amount of water, bring to a boil over high heat, add in the black tea and simmer for 20 minutes, filter and take the juice.

Efficacy: Nourishes qi and blood, warms the stomach and intestines. It is suitable for anemia, palpitations, insomnia, forgetfulness, abdominal pain due to deficiency and cold, and fear of cold due to physical weakness.

2. Sesame and red dates

Ingredients: 10 grams of black sesame seeds, 5 red dates, and appropriate amount of rock sugar.

Preparation method: Wash the red dates, put them into a cup together with the clean black sesame seeds and rock sugar, pour in the rock sugar and simmer for 10 minutes.

Efficacy: Nourishes blood and improves eyesight, moistens the intestines and promotes bowel movements. Suitable for fatigue, insomnia, constipation, etc. Drink frequently instead of tea.

3. Angelica

Ingredients: 10 grams of angelica, 8 grams of black tea, and 10 grams of rock sugar.

Preparation method: Remove impurities from the angelica, wash it, put it into a pot, add appropriate amount of water, bring to a boil over high heat, add black tea and simmer for 30 minutes, filter the juice, and add rock sugar to dissolve.
